Fishing in Orlando Florida, Orlando fishing charters are really on fire right now on the the Mosquito Lagoon. Schools of redfish have moved into the shallow water Flats along the shore lines of the backcountry making for some very exciting sight-fishing. The sea trout bite has also been very good over the past two weeks allowing Anglers to catch fish in the 18 to 28 inch range which in my opinion puts these fish in the trophy category for sea trout. Black drum continue to be hungry for live shrimp or small crabs. There are several areas in the mosquito Lagoon that are consistently holding schools of black drum. Orlando fishing charters for the month of April will continue to Target in Shore Flats in the mosquito Lagoon for redfish, sea trout, black drum and anything else that wants to bite it on the line.
Yesterday was pretty fun we actually had three decent-sized bonnethead sharks which are basically in the same family as a hammerhead swimming around the boat. For some reason they just weren’t interested in our live mullet. Made several casts but unfortunately didn’t get any hookups.
The month of April and May tend to be some of the best fishing of the year it is highly suggested that if you’re on the fence on booking a fishing trip now is definitely the best time to Target our area for inshore Flats fishing.
