Fishing Orlando
Florida being known as the fishing capital of the world centers it's attention on the Orlando area and it's fishing charters and guides. The latest Report for May 17th 2017 focuses on the late spring Black Drum fishing. This past week was a huge surprise to even find drum on the flats this late. Fishing Orlando in the spring usually includes species like Redfish, Snook and Sea Trout. Even a few Tarpon start to show up and give us a shot. But not the Black Drum... This is a very nice surprise to be able to still be able to find a large school of 200 of them happy and healthy on the flats.
Fishing Orlando for Bass and other fresh water species can be a real challenge when the weather heats up here in the central Florida area. So we will turn our attention to the big fish found in the saltwater world 45 minutes from down town Orlando over the next 4 months. One of my personal favorites over the summer, especially when I have small kids on the boat. Mangrove Snapper, snapper can be found on just about every rock pile and structure during the hotter months. This in turn doubles our chances to catch tons of fish and we all known that kids love a busy fishing trip.
Tarpon will also be on the main list of fish we will target while fishing Orlando Florida. Tarpon give the biggest fight and put on the best show during their epic battle. Once they show up on the flats we can then target them over the next 2 months. Some years we have schools up and down the flats for miles and each school can hold any where from 150 to 300 fish. Nothing pumps the blood like a 100 pound fish rolling and finning next to the boat as you wait nervously for the beast to eat. It's simply amazing!!!
Summer bookings come in fast and tend to fill up a month in advance so please don't hesitate to call me or send me an email so we can get that trip reserved for you soon. God bless and I hope to see you soon!
